Aremy Senior Portraits 2015

I had a the honor of hanging out with Aremy in the downtown Salem where we shot her senior portraits.

Andreya and Andru Prom 2015

Prom session from 2015. Andreya and Adru before their Senior prom. I was very excited to shoot some pictures of them before they headed to their prom. Both were super shy and awkward, which made it a lot of fun for me! The images turned out super sweet. Doesn't she look absolutely stunning ?!

Amanda- Maternity

We shot Amanda's maternity portraits at Bush Park in Salem. Another great location with a variety of  areas for posing and adding beautiful backgrounds. Amanda is absolutely stunning at 30 weeks pregnant.

Amanda's College Shoot 2015

Amanda is a college grad from Western Oregon University. We did graduation pictures practically all over the Salem River Front and downtown Salem area. It was such a blast discovering new little corners of the downtown area, that from day to day, I overlook! Amanda was such a great model! So much confidence, she had no problem being in front of the camera. The down town is definitely a favorite if mine for a new location .

Andreya Senior 2014

Second times a charm! In this case. This young lady met with me at Willamette University in down tot where we did her senior portraits....two times. oops! Something boo boo'ed with my memory card and she was nice and came back for a second try! She did amazing both times. Shy and sweet! I really enjoyed getting to be a part of this time Andreya's life. Helping her create beautiful portraits as she gets ready to end the High School chapter and move forward.

Erin Senior 2014

Meet Erin! This beautiful young lady is my sister in law. FIRST senior portrait! These shots were taken at Salem's Riverfront in down town Salem. Wonderful place to do photographs, so many beautiful locations! The session went super well. I had a camera scare and I didn't think that my camera was working properly. I called my father in law and he came to the rescue. Didn't end up needing his camera. Phew! Can't believe this young lady is already graduating.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Jessica and I'm a Salem photographer! I grew up in Salem and haven't really lived anywhere else. Pretty sad ha ha, but true! With that I do know Salem pretty well. I graduated from Sprague High School in 2005 and in the same year I met the love of my life! With my wonderful husband came 2 beautiful blonde hair blue eyed babies who are now 13 and 14 years old. In 2007 we had our daughter Korissa.

I discovered my love for Photography in middle school. I loved to write and whenever I wrote I included pictures with my writing. In high school I took 2 years of photography. Working mainly with black and white film in which we developed in class! Sophomore year I received my fist SLR camera from my parents and my photography pretty much took off from there. It wasn't really until my daughter was about 7 months old and I got my first digital (Nikon Coolpix point and shoot) that I learned I actually had a great eye for shooting people and creating great portraits. 3 years ago I purchased my first Nikon DSLR 5100 with the intention to do something with my photography. I didn't. Then last Spring I started booking sessions with practice and here I am! Almost 200 like on Facebook, lot's of experience and feeling proud! I have so much to learn and I am so excited for journey in my life!

Growing up I was always the goofy silly one. Put me in a room of people I don't know you wouldn't hear a peep from me. 30 years old, lot's more people experience, all I want to do is work with and for people. The BEST part of photography is the relationships that I have built, strengthened and made. Meeting new people, getting to know them and often time their families is just a wonderful gift.

I hope that if you were a client that you had nothing less than a fabulous time during your session! If you just visiting I hope that I get the chance to meet you. Thanks for stopping by, have a fab day!
